Containers for Change is a statewide container deposit scheme, launched in 2020 by North West Recycling, converting eligible drink containers to 10 cents each.
We are committed to continually working to increase landfill diversion through enhanced resource recovery, education and awareness. Council resolved to support the implementation of this initiative in 2020, during the August Ordinary Council Meeting, by funding procurement of 100 collection cages. The value of this sponsorship agreement was $76,000.
