Community Awards 2024

2025 will see us celebrating our Community Awards a bit differently!

We are excited to announce that for our 2025 awards, we are working with Auspire – Australia Day Council (WA) to collect nominations and celebrate our local legends.

We will still celebrate with a local celebration, and the winners will still be selected by a local panel.  We've just streamlined the process a bit!

Visit citizenshipawards.com.au from 1 September to 31 October to nominate someone in the City of Karratha for a Community Citizen of the Year Award.  Winners will be announced on Australia Day 2025.

Categories for 2025 include:

  • COMMUNITY CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

  • YOUNG COMMUNITY CITIZEN OF THE YEAR (16-30 YEARS)

  • SENIOR COMMUNITY CITIZEN OF THE YEAR (65+ YEARS)

  • ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP (GROUP OR EVENT)

Who makes a real difference in your community?

Each year, the Community Citizen of the Year Awards give local governments around the state the opportunity to acknowledge the contribution and celebrate community engagement of people within the community.

Let’s Reflect, Respect and Celebrate community contribution across Western Australia. We’re all part of the story.
