Residents can drop off domestic general and green waste free of charge at the Roebourne/Wickham Transfer Station.
Operating hours
7.00am - 4.30pm every day, excluding Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday.
Residential recycling
Residents can place the following items in the specifically marked bins or areas:
- plastic household containers
- paper and cardboard
- aluminum and steel cans
- glass jars and bottles
Dedicated recycling areas are also available for:
- motor oil - containers cannot be emptied and must be left on site (maximum of 20 litres)
- scrap metal, including whitegoods
- green waste
- lead acid car batteries
These items cannot be accepted by the Roebourne/Wickham Transfer Station:
- waste from commercial premises
- high pressure containers
- peat, acid sulphate soils
- explosives of any kind
- fuel
- commercial quantities of motor oil
- marine and emergency items
