Organisation-led Engagement is how the City of Karratha informs, educates, encourages participation, listens to, and works with our community and stakeholders to make decisions and create better outcomes for everyone.
The Engagement Framework details how organisation-led Engagement will be approached by the City. The framework was developed by asking questions, listening to our community, and researching best practices.
There are two key documents in the framework:
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement Policy CS24 – which describes Council’s commitment to our Engagement Principles
- Engagement Guidelines – which describe when and how the City of Karratha will engage with community and stakeholders
Organisation-led engagement means making sure you, our community members and stakeholders, always have the information you need, and when decisions are going to impact you, finding ways to hear your voice.
To keep up to date with City updates and feedback opportunities, we recommend:
- Following the City of Karratha Facebook page
- Subscribing to, or regularly checking our online engagement platform www.whatwemakeit.karratha.wa.gov.au
- Checking Community Notice Boards in your local area
- Looking out for Feedback Stations at our local libraries
- Visiting a City of Karratha Pop-Up Stall – we pop up regularly at community events, festivals and markets across our towns
If you have any questions or concerns about engagement activities conducted by the City of Karratha, please email community.engagement@karratha.wa.gov.au or phone 08 9186 8555 and ask to speak with an engagement officer.
