Foreshore Management Plans have been prepared to provide guidance for the management of popular foreshore reserves in the City of Karratha.
The plans describe the environmental, cultural, recreational, and resource functions associated with each foreshore area, many of which are under threat from human activities on the coast. The plans make recommendations regarding the future management of impacts in order to maintain or enhance identified values for the long term.
