Seniors Pre-Cyclone Cleanup

The City offers support for eligible Seniors who need assistance with pruning and general garden maintenance prior to cyclone season. This program complements the general pre-cyclone verge collection, ensuring seniors get personalised support to reduce hazards before the wet season hits.

Seniors can register for the free service on our website when registrations open in July 2026.

Council on the Ageing WA (COTA WA)

Council On The Ageing WA (COTA WA) provides a range of services and programs to help older people and their families. They aim is to provide information in an easy to find and convenient format.

COTA WA is also the Vulnerable Seniors Peak Body in WA.

Regional Pensioner Travel Card

Supports eligible country pensioners with a set amount each year towards the cost of fuel and/or taxi travel from participating providers, offering more support for the transport needs of pensioners living in regional areas.

Pensioner Annual Free Trip Scheme

Pensioners who live north of the 26th parallel are entitled to one return journey by air or coach, per year, to Perth or elsewhere in the South West Land Division (provided the fare is not greater than that to Perth).
