City of Karratha is providing notice of the planned road closure of a section of King Bay Road, Burrup WA 6714.Â
The section of King Bay Road, between Streckfuss Road and Mermaid Road, will be closed to all traffic from 15 April 2024 due to concerns about the structural integrity of the culvert.Â
A replacement of the culvert and road pavement is planned by the City, and the design and investigation phase is underway. The construction work will begin 15 April 2024.
A detour route will be provided for the duration of the road closure via Streckfuss Road, Hammonds Road and Mermaid Road. The detour route will match the existing Restricted Access Network.Â
