Progressive implementation of a masterplan to run this facility as a resort-style golf course was initiated by the City and supported by the Karratha Country Club, on behalf of the Karratha Golf Club.
The project includes the following elements;
- greening of greens establishment
- designing of the new greens in consultation with KCC is nearly finished
- currently the planning and preparation of construction documentation (reticulation, drainage, design of greens, surrounds and the consideration of the installation of a wetter soil injection system) are being progressed
- earthworks to form the remaining 17 green areas
- turfing of all 17 greens
- upgrade of the reticulation and water systems to support the new greens has been completed, however some additional modifications to meet the design will be implemented
- fencing of the perimeter to prevent vandalism; some partial fencing has been completed on the eastern and southern boundariesÂ
- project management of the green development project including grant funding
