Wickham Community Hub and Wickham Community Hall

The Wickham Community Hub is a multipurpose facility that opened May 2019. Located in the heart of Wickham, the hub has significantly bolstered the town’s community facility offering and has reinvigorated the town centre. The award-winning building provides a modern and efficient community facility that addresses the climatic conditions of Wickham and meets the identified functional needs of the community integrated within the Wickham Recreational Precinct. 

The Wickham Community Hub houses a Wickham Library, Youth centre – The Base, Early Learning Centre and a number of multi-purpose rooms for hire for community or commercial purposes

Multi-purpose rooms in the Hub are called Multi-purpose rooms One (MP1), Multi-purpose room Two (MP2), Three (MP3) and Four (MP4). Please note, Multi-purpose room Four can not be hired on its own.

Rooms for hire at Wickham Community Hub

The Wickham Community Hub offers several spaces for hire including three multi-purpose spaces that can be booked individually or configured to suit larger occupancy bookings. The Hub also offers office space for hire. If you are interested in applying to hire a space, please complete an application form via the link above and send it to community.infrastructure@karratha.wa.gov.au

Wickham Public Hall – (MP2, MP3 & MP4)

The Wickham Public Hall is a combination of MP2, MP3 and MP4 (can not be hired on its own) with all operable walls removed. A large, versatile space with access to a stage and large kiosk. This space is utilized for large functions and celebrations. Please note access to the kiosk is only permitted with a Public Hall booking.

Applicable to all rooms:

  • All tables and chairs are temporary and can be found in the room storeroom
  • Also available for hire:  Portable projector ($50/day-available on request) – hirers require their own HDMI Cable, AUX Cord 
  • Community Group/club – Junior (Under 18) is eligible for 50 % of the community rate 
  • Prior notice is required if you intend to re-configure the space for your booking
  • Internal access to male, female and disabled public toilets
  • Sealed parking bays available at the Wickham Community Hub on Carse Street
  • Power Access - Distribution of 10A outlets available indoors
  • MP4 cannot be hired on its own

Multi-purpose rooms

Located within the Wickham Community Hub are air-conditioned rooms suitable for activities such as dancing, tutoring, community meetings and birthday parties. The facility has disability ramp access as well as disabled toilets.

Multi-purpose Room One (MP1)
The room features air conditioning and soft-fall flooring in external undercover areas. MP1 is suitable for a range of booking needs including child-related activities, gatherings, and social events. 

Multi-purpose rooms Two (MP2),Three (MP3) and Four (MP4)
Multi-purpose room two and three are configured with operable walls, these spaces can be hired as one room, or they can be combined for a larger space (Public Hall). Multi-purpose room four can only be booked in conjunction with two and three or with three. Features air conditioning, kitchenettes, whiteboards, chairs, tables. Suitable for a range of bookings needs including meetings, training, presentations, workshops, gatherings, and social events.

The Wickham Community Hub houses air-conditioned office spaces. Offices are available for hire for commercial or community use.

Conditions of hire
Fees and charges apply to all available rooms as per Councils adopted Fees & Charges for the year
Full payment must be made 7 days prior to booking date.
Junior bookings receive 50% discount on applicable rates.
Bonds will apply to all bookings and will be determined once your booking is confirmed.
