Pam Buchanan Family Centre

The Pam Buchanan Family Centre was opened in 25 February 2012 and honours Pamela Ann Buchanan, a former Pilbara politician and campaigner for women’s and Indigenous rights. Pam is remembered as a quiet achiever who was approachable, respected and a champion of grass roots politics. Her genuine interest and concern for the marginalised, women and Indigenous Australians was well known and the communities she worked for remember her with respect and fondness.
