The Dampier Community Hub is a multipurpose facility that opened July 2016. Located in the heart of Dampier, the Hub has significantly bolstered the town's community facility offering and has reinvigorated the town centre.
As an iconic building, the Dampier Community Hub provides a number of indoor and outdoor spaces including an early learning center, public library, multipurpose meeting rooms and community spaces, refurbished community hall and landscaped entrance and parking area.

Multi-Purpose Rooms
There are two multi-purpose rooms (MPR) at the Dampier Community Hub that can accommodate up to 50 people standing each. Both rooms are air conditioned and share a kitchen facility. The external undercover areas have ceiling fans and soft fall flooring. MPR1 is more suitable for child related activities as it is regularly used by the local Dampier Family Playgroup so has some children’s equipment in the space on a permanent basis. MPR2 is a large open area suitable to most activities.
Main Hall and Stage
The Main Hall is a large open space with tall ceilings that can accommodate up to 200 people standing. It has a sprung wooden floor, ideal for dance and other physical activities. The stage is located at one end of the hall and is equipped with professional sound and lighting equipment. There is a projector and fixed screen (4.2m x 2.5m) on the stage and a piano that is free to use with the hall hire (conditions apply, please enquire for more details). At the rear of the stage is a changeroom facility with toilets and showers that can be divided into two separate areas if required.
Community Hall Kitchen
The Community Hall kitchen is a commercial kitchen that provides a professional stove and oven, large two door fridge, microwave, urn, ice troughs and a servery hatch to the Main Hall. It can be hired on its own or comes as part of the hall hire.

Dampier Library
All City of Karratha residents may use the Dampier Library free of charge and can use their library card to borrow items regardless of which City library issued their card. Initial loan period is three weeks. The library offers Microsoft Office products and Internet access. Scanning and photocopying services are available for a small fee. The Dampier Library also conduct Story Time and Rhyme Time sessions for pre-school children. Click here for hours and to read more about Libraries in the City of Karratha.

Reach Us Pilbara Inc
Reach Us Pilbara Inc is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free support services to Pilbara cancer patients. Our services are ancillary in nature and include; domestic assistance (such as cleaning, gardening and meals), travel assistance (including flight costs for immediate family members not covered through PATS), counselling for the whole family and a range of complementary therapies. Services can be accessed by completing a short application form with a Reach Us Support Coordinator.

Dampier Art Studio
Dampier Arts Studio Inc. (formerly Arts & Everything) is community group who met weekly for art making (such as printmaking, painting, drawing and skill-building workshops) every Tuesday 7pm to 9pm at the Dampier Community Hub, Multi-Purpose Room 2. Dampier Family Playgroup
Dampier Family Playgroup is a place for families to connect, play and have fun. It is a completely not-for-profit community group and is run by a committee of volunteers. The group has been operating for 25 years and everyone is welcome. You can be involved in craft or cooking sessions, share new ideas for activities and/or have some much needed and well deserved time out with a coffee and chat while your kids play and socialise.
