The City of Karratha is inviting local youth to have their voices heard, with nominations now open for the City of Karratha Youth Advisory Group (YAG).
Open to young people aged 11 to 18, the YAG offers a hands-on opportunity to build leadership skills and influence decisions shaping the future of the City.
YAG members work alongside City Councillors and staff, bringing their diverse perspectives to local projects and initiatives.
City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said the group plays an important role in ensuring young voices are heard at a local government level.
“Our Youth Advisory Group gives young people a real seat at the table,” Mayor Scott said.
“YAG members contribute ideas and feedback across a wide range of City activities, from youth development and events through to infrastructure and town planning.”
“We are proud to support and empower young people to be active participants in our community. We strongly encourage anyone who has ideas and is passionate about our City to put their hand up, and make the City of Karratha an even better place to live.”
Nominations close Sunday 22 February 2026. For more information and to complete the Expression of Interest form, visit https://karratha.wa.gov.au/community/youth-services/youth-advisory-group-yag
