Funding Available for Local Community Groups

Applications for the second round of the City of Karratha’s Large Community Grant Scheme are now open.

These grants provide up to $50,000 to community, sporting, cultural and service groups to deliver events, projects and services that benefit the City of Karratha community and align with the goals of the Council Plan 2025–2035.

City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said the ongoing interest from local groups was encouraging.

“Community and sporting groups are important to the growth and enhanced liveability of our towns,” Cr Scott said.

“The Large Community Grant Scheme reflects Council’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen community wellbeing and contribute to the long-term vision outlined in our Council Plan 2025–2035.”

“These groups are the heart and soul of Karratha. They bring people together and drive positive local outcomes.”
