Community invited to hear Wickham Recreation feasibility study results and actions

The City will be hosting two community information sessions to share the results of the Wickham Recreation Precinct Feasibility Study.

The information sessions will be held on 6pm March 13 and 28 at the Wickham Community Hub and will give locals the chance to hear the steps for the delivery of works.

In February 2022, the City conducted a Feasibility Study of the identified WRP facilities requiring renewal, replacement or improvement.

Following the study, four key areas were identified for works including alterations to the Wickham Aquatic Centre, shade for the multipurpose courts, as well as new toilets at Saylor Park and a new Amenities building at Wickham Oval.

City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said Council was pleased to share the results of the Feasibility Study with the Wickham community.

“The Wickham Recreation Precinct Feasibility Study has found four key outcomes that we will now be working to complete.

“I encourage the Wickham community to come to the information sessions, hear the outcomes and how we intend to implement these.”
