City recognised as a Gold Waterwise Council for second year.

The City of Karratha has been announced as a Gold Waterwise Council for the second year running.

Since 2017, the City of Karratha has been endorsed as a Waterwise Council with our swimming pools and airport also endorsed as Waterwise facilities.

Last year the City of Karratha became just the second regional council to receive a gold waterwise rating.

City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said it was a great achievement for the City to be recognised as a Gold Waterwise Council for second year running.

“I’m incredibly proud that we retained our Gold Waterwise Council rating, this is a massive achievement and acknowledgment for our hardworking teams,” Cr Scott said.

“Being recognised as a Gold Waterwise Council required us to be a leader in water efficiency, and retaining this rating shows how hard we continue to work to improve
our water efficiency and water management.

“We are focused on continuing to deliver actions that improve the liveability, sustainability, of our community.”
