The Ladyman Family have been named the winners of this year’s Christmas Lights Competition for their thoughtful and colourful display.
The City of Karratha’s annual Christmas Lights Competition, sponsored by Horizon Power, saw residents and businesses across the five towns show their Christmas spirit.
The Ladyman Family were declared the winners of the $2000 Try Local voucher after a tough decision by our esteemed judges.
Described by the judges as a ‘real delight’ the display made great use of space and colour as well as a well thought out use of decorations.
The highly commended was awarded to the Kett family for their very festive display that the judges couldn’t take their eyes off.
In the newly created Business category, Walkabout Dog Services took out the win for the unique and cute dog theme.
Meanwhile, St John Ambulance Karratha were recognised as highly commended for their display.
St John Ambulance’s display was a hit with the community, being voted the People’s Choice Winner.
City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said it was a tough decision for the judges with so many well-lit homes in the City for the Christmas Lights Competition.
“It was fantastic to see so many community members, and businesses take part in our annual Christmas Lights Competition,” Cr Scott said.
“I was impressed by all the displays this year and was pleased to see the community embrace the Christmas spirit.
“Congratulations to all our winners, and everyone who took part, and thank you to Horizon Power for again sponsoring this great community event.”
