The City of Karratha will be hosting a series of events to celebrate the contributions of seniors to our community.
The events are part of Seniors Week and will run from November 11-17 with a diverse range of free activities for seniors aged 55 years and older.
Highlights of the Seniors Week program include Get Goofy with Gadgets at the Red Earth Arts Precinct Studio Room, Morning Tea and Memories at PCYC in Roebourne, Silver Sneakers Walking Netball at the Karratha Leisureplex, and a Cake Competition at Tambrey Pavilion.
Other highlights this year include Yoga and Meditation with Ora Wellness as well as a Paint and Sip with Three Birds Creative.
City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said he was excited to announce this year’s Seniors Week activities.
“We have been working hard to deliver a fantastic slew of activities for this year’s Seniors Week,” Councillor Scott said.
“These events encourage social interaction providing opportunities for community members to connect and build relationships, fitness and sports activity, an intergenerational activity and working on a canvas and creating artwork.”
