Bus shelters installation works commence

The City of Karratha in consultation with the Public Transport Authority, Vicinity Shopping Centre and Karratha Health Campus have identified two bus stop locations within the CBD requiring shelters.

The shelters are aimed at enhancing the accessibility and comfort of locals using the existing public transport network. The design maximises shade, maintains cross ventilation and includes insulated roofing panel to minimise heat gain.

Works on the Welcome Road Bus Shelter servicing the Vicinity Shopping Centre have commenced, with works on the Warambie Road Bus Shelter to begin on April 1.

Traffic management will be implemented during installation at both sites.

The project is jointly funded by Rio Tinto and the City of Karratha.
