We’re looking for a passionate team member who can translate strategies and concepts into value for money community infrastructure projects.

You’ll be part of the small but supportive Community Planning Team. The work we do is important and rewarding. Everyday we have the chance to create positive design outcomes and places in our Pilbara communities that put people first.

Working with the Manager, the Senior Community Infrastructure Planner will provide strategy, planning, and design direction for a variety of community infrastructure projects, such as public space, sports, recreation and civic facilities. You’ll ideally have experience or knowledge in strategic planning, site selection, concept planning, asset management, grant sourcing, and/or general contractor management. 

This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The successful person will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in Recreation and Leisure Planning, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Infrastructure Project Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in urban planning, site design, or infrastructure project management, with a focus on recreational and civic facilities
  • Demonstrated experience in Local Government is favourable
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in planning and design practices, and teamwork
  • Current C class driver’s licence
  • National (or Federal) Police Certificate, no more than 6 months old
