The City of Karratha is offering an opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team as a People & Culture Project Officer.  This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The People and Culture Project Officer (PCPO) functions as a key support role to the Manager of People and Culture and focuses primarily on project-related activities such as policy reviews, HRIS implementation, and improvements to annual reviews, performance management, and rewards and recognition processes. The PCPO collaborates with Directorates and the People & Culture team to ensure effective delivery of HR services aligned with organisational goals.

The successful candidate will possess: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline and/or experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience implementing a new HRIS
  • TechOne CiAnywhere experience highly regarded
  • Proven experience in interpreting and applying awards and certified agreements and employee entitlements.
  • Membership with Australian Human Resources Institute is desirable 
  • Current C class driver’s licence
  • National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
