Looking for a role that has oversight of a civil operations team as well as responsible for renewal and maintenance projects? The City of Karratha is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Operations Coordinator to join our Asset Maintenance team for a fixed term, 5-year contract.

Asset Maintenance team includes Operations, Engineering Services, Building Maintenance and Parks and Gardens functions, with this role playing a key role as part of the Asset Maintenance leadership team. 

This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of benefits including, but not limited to:

The Operations Coordinator leads and drives the effective and efficient delivery of the annual civil maintenance programs across the road network, drainage, foreshores and other related infrastructure. This position also manages the annual maintenance and renewal programs, whilst providing input into broader projects as required. The position is responsible for the coordination and development of the operations team and includes workforce planning, reporting and budgeting.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Civil Construction or Management qualification or equivalent experience (desirable) 
  • Knowledge of civil construction practices and methodologies regarding planning, plant operation and operator management
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of contract management and administrative functions.
  • Qualification in front line management and/or contract management (desirable)
  • Significant leadership experience, 
  • Experience in / or understanding of delivering outcomes in line with legislation and policies 
  • Current Manual C class driver’s licence
  • National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
