Reporting directly to the Director, Strategic Projects and Infrastructure the Manager Waste and Fleet Services will develop and drive strategies for the future sustainable long term waste and fleet management within the City of Karratha. In this role you will work across the City of Karratha ensuring that services and facilities are fit for purpose and meeting community needs and expectations across Karratha, Dampier, Roebourne, Point Samson, and Wickham.

As a leader within the Strategic Projects and Infrastructure team, you will be an experienced people leader who can inspire and lead a diverse team to deliver exceptional services. Your exceptional relationship skills, you allow you to work across all groups and further enhance the City of Karratha’s waste management system. You will be required to nurture relationships within the business community to deliver real outcomes and help shape the direction of the city’s environmental and sustainability plan for waste management.

To be considered for this role you will be in the business of waste management and understand how to build for the future to ensure the City of Karratha are leading the way. In addition, you will have experience in managing multiple projects and contracts with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects including the preparation of tenders and contract management. You will ideally have Tertiary qualifications in Environment Management with experience in developing and implementing strategic resource recovery and landfill diversion strategies.
