The City of Karratha is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive, adaptable and diligent professional to contribute to the economic growth and development of the City for a fixed term contract ending 24 December 2024. This position is based in Karratha offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits, including:

The Economic Development Project Officer is responsible for planning and implementation of economic development projects. Under the supervision of the Manager City Growth the position is required to proactively project manage key initiatives that support and grow local businesses, attracts private investment and engages the public sector to facilitate sustainable economic development that has a benefit within the City of Karratha.

The successful candidate will ideally possess:
 
•    Relevant tertiary qualification
•    Previous experience in the management, planning & implementation of projects
•    Demonstrated experience in economic development matters
•    Exposure to working with/in Local Government Authorities (desirable)
•    Current C class driver’s licence
•    National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
