The City of Karratha is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Arts Development and Events team as our Cossack Art Awards Officer on a full-time basis from May to August this year.  This position is based in between Karratha and the historic town of Cossack, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

  • Allowances
  • 13% Superannuation

The Cossack Art Awards Officer will take part in the planning and delivery of the Cossack Art Awards. The position provides a period of curatorial and art installation work under the supervision of a qualified professional and presents the Officer with a training opportunity that combines theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The role will be directly involved with the curation, installation and associated administration of the Cossack Art Awards.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A genuine interest in the Arts
  • A basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word 
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Current C class driver’s licence
  • Study towards a qualification relevant to Arts or another relevant field would be advantageous however is not essential.
