Reporting directly to the Manager Financial Services/CFO, the Corporate Accountant/Finance Business Partner is responsible for the sound, efficient and timely co-ordination, planning and development of Council’s Asset Management section. This position will oversee and work closely with relevant staff in the day-to-day operations of the portfolio within the City of Karratha. As the Corporate Accountant/Finance Business Partner you will work across the City of Karratha which includes Karratha, Dampier, Roebourne, Point Samson, and Wickham.
As a leader within the Finance team, you will have experience as a people leader who has led an established team to deliver exceptional financial management. Your exceptional relationship skills will allow you to partner with the business to ensure that the financial management of the council is managed in a professional and effective manner. In addition, you will be responsible for the following.
- Prepare the Monthly and Annual Financial Statements for Council and Audit.
- Provide information, support and assistance to Council, Directors, Managers, and other staff in matters relating to financial management.
- To develop and maintain an asset management system for Council.
- To develop and maintain asset management strategies for Council.
- Provide leadership to the Asset Management team.
To be considered for this role you will be an experience Corporate Accountant / Finance Business Partner working within an organisation providing financial reports with strong commentary around the financial performance and management of the business. Your conceptual understanding of accounting and experience using CI anywhere will ensure success within this role.
