The City of Karratha is offering an opportunity for a suitably experienced and self-motivated Compliance Officer to join our Approvals & Compliance team on full time or part time basis. This position is based in Karratha and offers an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The Compliance Officer is responsible for delivering high quality and timely development compliance services, including ensuring development is authorised and conditions of development approval have been satisfied.
The role involves conducting site inspections, researching approvals history, working with a variety of teams within the City to establish technical and approvals requirements and liaising with landowners and occupiers to educate and encourage voluntary compliance wherever possible. A background in town planning, building, lands matters or investigations would be beneficial.
The City will consider part-time or job share arrangements for the right candidate/s.
The successful person will possess:
- Planning compliance experience (desirable)
- Current C class driver’s licence
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
