The City of Karratha is offering exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our friendly Council facilities and venues teams on a casual basis. These positions will be based at Red Earth Arts Precinct (REAP), Library (Karratha, Dampier, Roebourne and Wickham), Recreation Precincts (Wickham Recreation Precinct and Karratha Leisureplex), Youth Centres (Karratha and Wickham) and Indoor Play Centre.
We are currently seeking to fill the following positions:
REAP – Usher, Kiosk Attendant, Box Office, REAP Events Assistant and Arts Development and Events Assistants
These roles are the public face for Red Earth Arts Precinct (REAP). You will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of customer service across all areas of the Red Earth Arts Precinct and across the City. The roles include evening and weekend rostered hours.
Library – Library Assistants
The Library Assistant is responsible for providing quality customer service to the community and users across the City of Karratha libraries.
Recreation Facilities – Program Assistant, Creche Assistant and Café Attendant
- The Program Assistant is responsible for effectively assisting in the supervision of recreation programs and to ensure a safe environment is provided to all Centre users / clientele.
- The Crèche Assistant is responsible for effectively assisting the Crèche Coordinator in the day to day running of the Crèche, providing a quality facility by ensuring a safe, clean and fun environment.
- The Cafe Attendant will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of customer service within the Leisureplex Cafe in order to achieve Council’s objectives. In addition, they will be responsible for the cleanliness and quality presentation of the café.
Youth Centres – Youth Program Attendant
Youth Program Attendants operate under the direction of the Youth Officers and Senior Youth Officers and are responsible for the supervision and implementation of youth programs and events facilitated by the City of Karratha Youth Services team. These programs focus on positive socialisation and safe recreation.
Indoor Play Centre – Indoor Play and Café Attendant
The Indoor Play & Cafe Attendant will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of customer service within the Indoor Play centre in order to achieve Council’s objectives. In addition, they will be responsible for the cleanliness and quality presentation of the entire facility.
