WA Carers Strategy Consultation session in Karratha

Lead by the Honourable Dr Katrina Stratton MLC, you are invited to attend a Carers Conversation in Karratha.

  • Goldfinch Room, Karratha International Hotel, Millstream Road, Bulgarra
  • Thursday 28 May 2026
  • Doors open at 9:00am

Carers give unpaid care to a family member or friend who needs assistance with everyday tasks. People may need help from a carer due to either disability, impairment, mental illness, an age-related condition, or living with a chronic health condition.

Please join carers, government agencies, and service providers as we take part in conversation. The purpose of this session is to provide a safe forum for carers, and the agencies supporting them, to discuss and identify local solutions to the challenges they encounter.

Feedback and data obtained in this session will contribute to the development of a new whole-of-government WA Carers Strategy and first Action Plan, as well as to develop a further understanding of challenges faced by carers in WA. You can register here https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/carers-department-of-communities-22930002256

If you have any queries, please reach out to the Department of Communities Carers Policy Team at carers@communities.wa.gov.au

Doors open at 9:00am for a 9:30am start.

There will be a short break included, with the session expected to finish at 12:30pm
