School Holiday Tech Fest
Presented by City of Karratha Libraries
Looking for a fun, hands-on way to keep kids engaged these school holidays? Join presenters from The Brainary for our FREE January Tech Fest, packed with creative coding and design experiences for curious minds.
From learning the basics of coding with friendly KUBO robots to tackling real-world sustainability challenges through architectural design, Tech Fest is all about problem-solving, creativity and future-focused skills, no experience required.
KUBO Robotics (Ages 5 to 8)
Young learners will be introduced to coding through play using KUBO robots and simple “Tag Tiles.”
Kids will snap together code like puzzle pieces to make KUBO move, dance and solve challenges, building confidence, imagination and early tech skills from the very first click.
Arckit Design Studio (Ages 9-12 and 12+)
Participants will be “hired” by top architecture firms to design, build and present a creative solution to a real sustainability challenge. Bring your imagination, teamwork and problem solving skills for this hands-on workshop!
Adults (16+) – Libraries After Dark session
Programs run across Karratha, Wickham, Dampier and Roebourne Libraries from Monday 19 January to Friday 23 January, with sessions scheduled throughout the day and evening.
