Visitor Identification Card (VIC) Pre Application Form

Important Information

Collection and Approval

•    This form needs to be submitted no later than 24hours prior to you requiring the VIC Pass.
•    Completing this application does not guarantee approval of a VIC pass. 
•    VIC passes become valid after physical ID has been sighted at the Airport Administration Office or by the On Duty Airport Reporting Officer (DARO), Payment has been received and Inductions completed. 
•    VIC Pass can be collected from KTA Airport Administration Office Monday to Friday – 0730-1630hrs excluding public holidays or if previously arranged.

Regulations
•    The 28 Day Rule: A VIC cannot be issued for more than 28 days in any 12-month period unless under exemption is granted by the Security Contact Officer.
•    Random testing may be undertaken under the Karratha Airport or CASA drug and alcohol management plans.
•    Visitor Identification Cards must be always displayed and returned upon expiry or there is no longer an operational requirement.
•    VIC pass’s are issued in accordance with Aviation Transport Security Act 2004 and Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005

Identification
Applicants must produce an original Category B identification document that must:
- Be government issued
- Contain your photo and signature
- Be current and valid

Acceptable Category B Identification includes:
- Passport
- Driver licence
- Proof of age card
- Firearms or shooter's licence
- Security licence
- Working with vulnerable people card

Escort and Supervision of Visitors
Holders of valid ASICs must accompany, oversee, or ensure supervised access of VIC holders in security-controlled areas in compliance with the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005
