The City of Karratha is seeking applications for a Natural Areas and Horticulture Trainee to join our Parks & Gardens team for the duration of their traineeship. This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:
- Six weeks annual leave
- Fortnightly RDO
- 13% Superannuation
The Natural Areas and Horticulture Trainee is responsible for undertaking a Traineeship of technical and practical training leading to a Certificate IV Conservation and Land Management and a Certificate III Horticulture.
The successful candidates will possess:
- High School Certificate or equivalent Education Certificate or one to three months related experience and or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current Manual C class driver’s licence (desirable)
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
- Willingness to obtain qualifications in Certificate III Horticulture & Certificate IV in Conservation & Land Management
