The City of Karratha is currently seeking suitably experienced individual to join our Asset Maintenance Team as Engineer/Technician (Civil). This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The Engineer/Technician (Civil) is responsible for managing design and construction projects, provide technical advice to City's internal and external stakeholders including members of the community.

The successful candidates will possess:

• Competent in AutoCAD for civil design and drafting.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil). 
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the field.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, Main Roads WA Specifications and Austroads. 
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering. 
• Microsoft administrative software systems including Projects. 
• Developed verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated practical experience in Civil design and construction. 
• Knowledge of the local area (desirable). 
• Current manual “C” class driver’s license. 
• National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old).
