Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Community Experience will play a vital role in delivering the social and cultural elements of the City’s vision to be Australia’s most liveable regional City.
In this role you will have the opportunity to engage the community to foster the thriving and diverse communities across Karratha, Dampier, Roebourne, Point Samson, and Wickham. You will manage the City’s community development, community engagement, and community planning functions, that includes managing the Red Earth Arts Precinct, Leisure Plex and an impressive portfolio of community facilities.
As a strategic, inspirational leader with exceptional relationship skills, you will work with your team to unleash their true capacity and further enhance the City of Karratha’s strategic plan. You will nurture relationships with community leaders and develop strategic partnerships with businesses to deliver real outcomes and help shape the direction of the city.
To be considered for this role you will have Senior Executive experience in developing constructive relationships with aboriginal people and traditional owner organisations. You will also be able to demonstrate your experience within a results orientated environment including tracking and improving service levels and performance.
