Registering your dog

All dogs three months of age or older must be registered and microchipped, as stated in the Dog Act 1976. The penalty for not registering your dog is a $200 fine. Dog Registrations expire 31 October every year, unless you opt for a lifetime registration. Find out how to register your dog below.

Impounded Dogs

If your dog is missing, it may have been picked up by a Ranger and taken to the City's Animal Pound Facility. Impounded dogs may be claimed by appointment Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am - 4pm or Thursday 9am - 5pm.
