Walkington award

Students achieving academic excellence while also contributing to our community may apply for the annual Walkington Award.

Commemorating the service of the late Dr Al Walkington, Foundation Director of the Karratha College (now Pilbara Institute), the Walkington Award encourages students to continue either full-time or part-time studies at a recognised educational institution.

The Award is open to Year 12 students studying four or more ATAR subjects at high school in the City of Karratha.

The Award Committee selects a winner from the many worthy applicants who demonstrate their academic excellence plus achievement in other areas, such as community involvement, over the past 12 months. The Award is currently valued at $5,000.

An online application form will be provided when applications open.

For more information and assistance with your application, call 9186 8585 or email chrystal.ashby@karratha.wa.gov.au
