Located in the Burrup Peninsula near the Port of Dampier and the town of Karratha in WA, is the North West Shelf Natural Gas Project.
It is the biggest and one of the most important resource developments yet undertaken in Australia.
A Visitor Centre overlooks the Project with panoramic views, and here you can see models, displays and an award-winning movie, telling the story of this remarkable development.
The Visitor Centre is manned by trained and informed personnel. Souvenirs of the area and the Gas Project are on sale. During the wildflower season, a display of wildflowers is a highlight of the landscape surrounding the Project.
