City to activate Dampier Pavilion

The City has committed $100k towards improvements at the Dampier Pavilion to further activate the foreshore area and provide food and beverage options for visitors.
Local business SOAK is the preferred applicant to take up the Dampier Pavilion kiosk area over a three-year lease.
The City will now assist with procuring necessary equipment with a view of the business being operational within six months.
City of Karratha Mayor Peter Long said the upgrades will further increase the amenity on offer at the Dampier foreshore.
“Following on from the $13.6 million redevelopment at the Dampier Palms, the City is further looking to increase the offerings for the community at the Dampier Foreshore,” Cr Long said.
“The City is very excited to support the activation of the Dampier Pavilion and I look forward to seeing the space further utilised by the community.”
Minimum service interruption is anticipated however the kiosk and undercover area will be closed during works.
