Gifts and Travel
The Local Government Act 1995 requires all Council members and various employees who accept a gift (or contribution to travel worth more than $200.00) to disclose this gift or contribution, in writing, to the Chief Executive Officer within ten (10) days of receipt. Multiple gifts or contributions from the same donor where the cumulative value is more than $200.00 must also be disclosed.
The Chief Executive Officer keeps a record of the disclosures by way of a register, and publishes it on the City’s official website.
