LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT NO. 42

NOTICE OF FINAL APPROVAL

It is hereby notified for public information in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that on 29 May 2017 the Minister for Planning approved Amendment No. 42 to the City of Karratha’s Local Planning Scheme No. 8 to rezone existing allotments from ‘Residential R30’ to ‘Residential R40’ within the area of Bulgarra bound by Searipple Road to the west, Bay View Road to the north, Dampier Road to the south and drainage reserve to the east.

A copy of the approved Scheme Amendment can be viewed at the City of Karratha Administration Office.

LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT NO. 43

NOTICE OF FINAL APPROVAL

It is hereby notified for public information in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that on 20 June 2017 the Minister for Planning approved Amendment No. 43 to the City of Karratha’s Local Planning Scheme No. 8 to rezone the old Karratha High School and existing Primary School located at 40 Turner Way, Bulgarra from ‘Local Scheme Reserve – Public Purposes: Education’ to ‘Urban Development’.

Planning and Development Act 2005

LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT NO. 45

AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION – STANDARD AMENDMENT

The City of Karratha has received the abovementioned planning scheme amendment proposed by Lampton Pty Ltd which seeks to rezone Lot 70 (No. 65) Tambrey Drive, Nickol from ‘Mixed Business’ to ‘Residential R60’ with an additional use of ‘Short Stay Accommodation’.

RESIDENTIAL INFILL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT 31
AND ASSOCIATED DRAFT DEVELOPMENT PLANS

The Pilbara Development Commission on behalf of the City of Karratha has prepared a planning scheme amendment to rezone portions of land within Karratha to Urban Development Zone. Amendment 31 rezones to density R40 parts of former Parks, Recreation and Drainage Reserve lands assessed as surplus to the Reserves. These Amendments enable residential infill development to increase the diversity of permanent housing stock and contribute to the long term transformation of Karratha from a town to a vibrant and desirable regional city. Draft Development Plans have been prepared which set out particular provisions and establish the desired urban form and community outcomes for each site.
