Environmental Health

The Environmental Health Service is responsible for maintaining high environmental and public health standards within the City of Karratha, providing an advisory, educational and enforcement role.

Environmental Health Officers administer various acts and other legislation which regulate areas such as food safety, recreational and drinking water quality, air quality, general and transient workforce accommodation, public buildings, infectious disease investigation and control, caravan parks and camping grounds, noise and nuisance control, onsite effluent disposal, skin penetration, beauty therapy and hairdressing premises, pest control - including mosquito control, waste management, development approvals, health promotion.
