The City of Karratha is offering an opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated individual, seeking a challenging and rewarding career, to lead our Youth Services team as the Youth Services Coordinator. This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The Youth Services Coordinator will assist the Manager Community Services to achieve the key performance indicators identified within the divisional plans and the City’s Strategic Plan, to achieve greater capacity, capability and sustainability in the Youth Services sector.
This position has day to day operational responsibility for The Youth Shed youth facility in Karratha which includes a 200m2 indoor youth area and a 250m2 commercial indoor child play area with cafe and associated office space and also oversees staff located at The Base youth facility in Wickham.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Science, Youth Work, Community Development or other relevant field and /or demonstrated relevant experience in the youth services or community development sector.
- A National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
- A Current Working with Children Check
- Apply First Aid Certificate is desirable
- A current national Manual “C” class driver’s licence
