The City of Karratha is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Arts & Culture team as an Events Officer for a fixed term contract until October 2018. This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The Events Officer is responsible for managing a number of events that form part of the Arts and Culture portfolio including planning, marketing and delivery of events and programs. These position responsibilities are designed to provide the community with high-quality, engaging and consistent entertainment programming. The Events Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Arts and Culture Coordinator when required and contributing towards all events in the teams’ portfolio.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • End to end events experience
  • Practical experience in general administration duties
  • Previous local government experience (desirable)
  • A current Manual “C” class driver’s licence
  • A National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
