The City of Karratha is offering an opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated individual, seeking a challenging and rewarding career, to lead our Partnership & Engagement team as the Community Planning Coordinator. This position is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The Community Planning Coordinator is responsible for identifying community need and planning for the provision of community facilities and services throughout for the City of Karratha. This strategic role has a cradle to grave focus and encompasses the requirement to forecast and respond to community need in line with population projections, community aspiration and the Council’s vision to be Australia’s most liveable regional city.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in social sciences, community development, town planning or similar discipline
  • Demonstrated practical experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated strategfic planning and analytical skills
  • National (or Federal) Police Clearance (no more than 6 months old)
  • A current C class driver’s licence
