The City of Karratha is offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Events professional to join our Arts & Culture team. The Arts & Culture Coordinator is based in Karratha, offering an attractive salary and a range of other benefits including, but not limited to:

The Arts and Culture Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager Arts & Culture, is responsible for the planning and coordination of the City’s community events, through strategic utilization of marketing, promotion, negotiation and stakeholder relationships in accordance with organisation. The Arts and Culture Coordinator will work with the community and commercial hirers of the Red Earth Arts Precinct to maximise usage and income.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • End to end event management experience
  • Possession of, or progress towards, an appropriate qualification in Events Management, Marketing or related field, is desirable
  • Hold a current “C” class driver’s licence
  • Hold a National (or Federal) Police Certificate, no more than 6 months old
